Chainstitch

Mean Machine is a chainstitch embroidery and alterations studio run by Ani Brower. Having worn many hats in the fashion industry, Ani renewed her love of art through chainstitch embroidery. Her embroidery machine is operated with a hand crank controlling the direction of interlocking loops in a chain like pattern. Ani aspires to create heirloom pieces in one’s wardrobe and home. Pricing varies on scale, font, and amount of color used in a design.

Events

Mean Machine is available for pop up chainstitch events for retail, parties, and weddings. Similar to flash tattoos, a chainstitch event personalizes clothing and accessories on the spot. Guests enjoy watching a chainstitch embroidery machine being operated and having a handmade touch added to their items.

Alterations

Ani has been a professional seamstress for ten years. She currently partners with stores and individual clients for alterations. While she does most alterations, her specialty is denim.
